Site Visit to Red Stag Industrial, Rotorua
Wed, 5 November
Red Stag Industrial is opening its doors to showcase a range of advanced timber industrial structures. This guided site visit is a chance to gain insight and see first-hand how timber can deliver cost-effective, large-span solutions for industrial applications.
The buildings that will be showcased are:
New mobile plant building - Utilising CLT portals and bracing
Sawmill trimline and stackers - showcasing mass timber across an existing production line.
RST Reman building - the first large span industrial building on site

Mid-Rise Wood Construction and WoodWorks join forces
Last year, the WoodWorks Conference attracted over 200 leaders in engineered timber design and construction, with another brilliant line up expected on 4 & 5 this November.
With a shared focus to help facilitate the increase in capability and use of timber throughout New Zealand, WoodWorks & MRWC have partnered to add an additional site visit to the programme, on the final day.
Attendees will now have the option to choose between these projects:
3-storey library and community hub – the first building to be constructed as part of Te Manawataki o Te Papa, currently under construction on Willow Street in the heart of Tauranga.
Red Stag Industrial - a visit to the Southern Hemisphere's largest sawmill, and the leading producer of timber industrial buildings.
